PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically spread an escaping slide, by providing a pneumatic reservoir in behind a partitioning plate for activating an emergency evacuation system including the escaping slide expandable by air pressure, to activate the system if a door is opened when the system is armed.
SOLUTION: An evacuation system fitted to the entrance door of an airplane includes an escaping slide, stored in a folded condition for quickly escaping from the airplane passing through the door, and expanded at emergency, and a pneumatic reservoir filled with pressure gas. A mechanism, for expanding and spreading the slide if the door is opened when such an evacuation system is armed, is equipped with a floor part fixture 18 fitted to an airplane fuserage, a supporting fixture 20 fitted to the door and engaging with a floor fixing part 18 when a closed door is locked, and a linking member 60 fitted to the fixture 20 along a rotating shaft in parallel to a captive bar 16 connected to one end part of the slide.
