PURPOSE: To easily conduct a form change-over in performing a plural types of work by a method wherein one is selected out of a plurality of preset continuous forms only by an instruction from a user, and a printable state is automatically made.

CONSTITUTION: With the input of a change-over instruction, a lift mechanism 17 is moved upward, and a connection support mechanism 2 is connected to a change-over drive mechanism 13. On the other hand, during a normal printing, a tractor drive transmission mechanism 14 is connected to a tractor drive mechanism 15, whereby a drive force is transmitted to a tractor in to feed a form. However, during a form change-over, said mechanisms are separated from each other. At the time of a form change-over, the connection support mechanism 2 is moved in parallel by the rotation of the change-over drive mechanism 13 until a predetermined position is detected by a position detecting mechanism 16. Then, the lift mechanism 17 is moved downward, and the connection support mechanism 2 and the change-over drive mechanism 13 are separated from each other. A tractor drive transmission mechanism 14 of a newly selected tractor 1n is connected to the tractor drive mechanism 15, and a new form can be printed.
