Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a mechanism capable of eliminating drawbacks of a conventional known apparatus, enabling connections to be made between the control shaft of a loom and connecting rods associated with griffe frames and necessitating only limited lubrication.
CONSTITUTION: This mechanism for reciprocating movement of a lower griffe frame 2 and an upper griffe frame 3 of a loom comprises four crank arms 5 to 8 fixed onto respective ends 4a of a shaft 4 of a loom extending over a chassis 1, angularly offset with respect to one another and having crank pins 5a to 8a thereof located at a certain distance from the geometrical axis of the shaft 4 and further two short connecting rods 9 and 10 and two long connecting rods 11 and 12 respectively pivotally connected to the corresponding crank pins 5a to 8a and the lower griffe frame 2 and the upper griffe frame 3.
