To provide a compact member displacing device made of a small number of components which uses shape memory alloy and is applied to the winding and rewinding mechanism of a camera.
A gear 23 driven by a motor engages a gear 24. The gear 24 has a shaft member 41 formed of shape memory alloy and the shaft member 41 engages with a 3rd gear 31 in a cold state to drive a spool 35 through gears 32 and 33. The shaft member 41 deforms when heated and the gear 24 is disengaged from the gear 31 and engages with a gear 25. The rotation of the motor is transmitted to a light shield door driving part 27 through the gears 23, 24, and 25. Similarly, when a shaft member 42 made of shape memory alloy is heated, it deforms and the gear 32 is disengaged from the gear 33 and engages with a gear 37, so that a fork 39 can be driven.
