To provide a mechanism for opening a downward engagement part of an end-closed deck plate capable of locally opening one engagement part (the downward engagement part) outwardly into a plate shape in order to eliminate a trouble that the engagement parts of adjacent deck plates are not normally engaged with each other when manufacturing an intermediate end-closed or reversely end-closed deck plate.
The downward engagement part opening mechanism 31 locally opens a downward engagement part 6 outwardly in the width direction of a deck plate into a plate shape in a vicinity of a boundary between a portion subjected to the squeezing deformation and a portion not subjected thereto when forming an end-closed beam placement part at the intermediate height position between a ridge face 2 and a valley face 3 or a ridge surface height position by squeezing a longitudinal end of a deck plate 1, and comprises a horizontal movable member 32 and a driving member 33. While a projecting part 32b of the horizontal movable member 32 is engaged with the downward engagement part 6, the projecting part 32b is driven outward in the width direction by a cam slide mechanism of, for example, the horizontal movable member 32 and the driving member 33, and the downward engagement part 6 is opened in a plate shape.
