To provide an operating mechanism equipped with a door weight offset means for attaining the smooth displacement of a door by a motor capable of optimizing dimensioning without using an irreversible reduction gear.
This mechanism 1 has an electric motor 5, a member 4 driven by the motor 5 and connected in motion to the door, and means 126, 127 for at least partially offsetting C1 torque C2 applied to the member 4 by the weight of the door 100. A brake 8 interposed between the motor 5 and the member 4 applies braking force C8 to the motor 5 at least in the moving stage of the door 100, and in this case, the combined force C3 of the weight of the door 100 and forces F1, C1 applied by the offset means 126, 127 works to displace the member 4 in the same direction as the motor 5. The fluctuation of torque applied to the motor 5 can be limited by such a brake 8.
