Abstract:

To prevent small pieces a metallic scrap from entering between a socket and a jacket, by sealing off the socket and the shaft wall from each other by making the side periphery of the socket and the side periphery of the jacket slide on each other, and bearing the load added to the finger with a bearing.

The base end of a finger 31 pivotally born by the tip of the cylinder rod 51 of a cylinder. The side periphery of a socket 42 is a circumferential face, and a circular arc face corresponding to the circumferential face of a jacket 42 is made, and also a circular arc face corresponding to the inside periphery of the socket 42 is made also at the inside periphery of a press board 44, and the circular arc faces of the jacket 42 and the press plate 44 slide on the circumferential face of the socket 42. Advancing a cylinder rod 51 and rotating the top of the finger 31 downward around the shaft 41 will open the finger 31, and retreating the cylinder rod 51, and rotating the tip of the finger 31 upward around the shaft 41 to return it to its former horizontal position will close the finger 31.
