Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a mechanism which delivers identically oriented sheets in correct order in either case of single and double sided printings with a simple construction and within the same printing time as before.
CONSTITUTION: A printing sheet 18 from a supply tray 14 is imprinted on one side of it while it is passing the printing path 24, then fed between the rollers 52, 54 of the first direction reversing path, and delivered in reverse to the media reversing path 56. It again passes the printing path 24 for imprinting on the other side, and a path selection apparatus 106 is switched to reverse the direction at the 2nd direction-reversing path 102 and directed to the output path 36 for output. In the case of single sided imprinting, a sheet imprinted on one side by passing through the printing path 24 is directed to the output path 36 for output by switching of the selection bar 34. As the result, both one sided and double-sided printing sheets are identically oriented in the output.
