To provide a medal selector which is made compact, reduced in time required for returning a medal without disturbing smooth rolling of a received regular medal.
The medal selector is provided with a movable guide 11 having a guide surface 11a which supports the lower end of a rolling medal, an upper guide 13 which is arranged so as to be in contact with the upper one surface of a rolling regular medal 5 whose lower end is supported by the guide surface, a lower part guide 14 which is arranged under the upper guide so as to be in contact with the lower surface of the medal on the same side as the upper side surface, an intermediate guide 15 which is arranged at an intermediate position in height between the lower guide and the upper guide so as to be in contact with the side surface of the medal on the opposite side, an pressing means 17 which energizes the upper end part of the rolling medal in the direction in which the end part of the medal is pressed against the upper guide, and a driving means which moves the guide surface 11a up and down between a reception position (A) of rolling surface height and a lower reception-prohibiting position (B) whose distance from the upper part guide is larger than the diameter of the regular medal.
