PURPOSE: To provide a medal selector simplified at its medal injecting work and shortened at its vertical direction size.

CONSTITUTION: The medal selector is provided with a carrying member 40 fixed to an equipment provided with a counter and capable of carrying medals loaded in a loading part 19 arranged on the outside of the equipment concerned in the counter direction, a discriminating device for discriminating the validity/ invalidity of each medal and a distributer 30 for distributing each medal, the carrier 40 is formed by a belt 41 having an endless changing mechanism, a regulating member 20 for regulating an interval from the upper face of the belt 41 to more than the thickness of one medal and less than that of two medals is arranged on the counter side of the loading part 19, the discriminating device is provided with a selective sensor 14 for selecting whether a metal is a specific medal or not, and the distributer 30 is driven so as to send only specific medal to the counter in accordance with the discriminated result of the sensor 14.
