To select a thickness of a medal in addition to an outside diameter thereof to improve selection accuracy.

The medal inputted from a medal input port 21 flows down through a first passage 35, and the outside diameter is roughly selected by a first selection means 36 provided in the first passage 35. Among the medals passing the first selection means 36, only the medal having a prescribed thickness or less flows down to an inlet 39 formed in a bottom face 53 of the first passage 35. The medal flowing in the inlet 39 is branched to a second passage 37 and is made to flow down, fine outside diameter selection is performed by a second selection means 38 provided in the second passage 37, and thereafter, only the genuine medal is guided to a count sensor 41.
