Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved media pad that provides efficient cooling without requiring a further downstream mist eliminator.SOLUTION: The present application provides a media pad (100) for cooling an inlet air flow (22) to a compressor (12) of a gas turbine engine (10). The media pad (100) may include a first media sheet (130) with a chevron corrugated surface (200) having a first mist eliminator (250) and a second media sheet (140) with a wavy corrugated surface (270) having a second mist eliminator (320).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
