Abstract:
PURPOSE: To fix a body of a patient simply by furnishing a hub at the root of one of the thin and long members, allowing the hub to engage a driving mechanism furnished around the root of an other thin and long member, and thereby expanding a lateral direction expanding mechanism furnished at the latter named thin and long member. CONSTITUTION: A trochar access sheath device 10 for surgical use has an access sheath 11 and a trochar rod 12 penetrating it in the axial direction. The access sheath 11 has a tube 13, cannula 19, and a holding cap 38 connected with its tip. A lateral direction expanding mechanism 17 is installed at the tip of the cannula 19 and is equipped with a plurality of strips 18 extending in the axial direction of the tube 13. At the root of the cannula 19, a hub 23 is installed, which is furnished with a driving mechanism 26, and connection is generated with the root of the tube 13. The driving mechanism 26 is engaged with the hub 23 so as to expand the mechanism 17 and strips 18.
