To provide a medical capsule, capable of achieving intended functions in use, which can easily pass through a cavity in the examinee's body at the time of emergency to be easily discharged out of the examinee's body.
In the medical capsule 10, an elastic film 32 is held by a cover member 12 in a stretched state. In the medical capsule 10, a storage part 20 is provided to store medical agent 18. In a case where the medical capsule 10 stops moving in the examinees body, electromagnetic waves to direct release of the medical agent 18 out of the examinee's body are sent. As a CPU on a hard substrate 16 receives the electromagnetic waves, a release mechanism 30 releases the medical agent 18. The medical agent 18 dissolves the cover member 12, and the elastic film 32 kept stretched by the cover member 12 contracts. As a result, the medical capsule 10 contracts to be able to pass through the cavity of an organ in the examinee's body to be discharged.
