To provide a medical care chair that enables the operator to clearly see an operation field like depths of the oral cavity of a patient which has been difficult to directly see thus far.
The medical care chair of the present invention comprises a seat part (13) for holding the hip of a patient and a back rest part (12) extending from the seat part to hold the upper part of the patient's body, and the back rest part can tilt downward from a horizontal position. The angle at which the back rest part can tilt downward from the horizontal position is from 3 to 10 degrees, thereby enabling the operator to clearly see an operation field like depths of the oral cavity of the patient which has been difficult to directly see thus far without putting a burden on the patient or forcing the operator to take an unnatural posture. Preferably, the medical care chair is further provided with a tiltable headrest part on the tip side of the back rest part and with a lifting device for adjusting the seat surface to a desired height. The medical care chair of the present invention is effectively utilized as a dental treatment chair.
