Abstract:
To provide a system for detecting movement of a medical device.SOLUTION: A system 100 includes an elongate member 108A, 108B configured to be introduced into vasculature 110 of a patient. The elongate member 108B includes a pressure sensor 160 configured to generate a pressure signal indicative of pressure in the vasculature 110 adjacent to the needle. The system 100 includes processing circuitry 162 configured to receive the pressure signal from the pressure sensor 160, detect, based on the pressure signal, movement of the elongate member 108A, 108B from the vasculature 110, and generate an output in response to detecting the movement of the elongate member 108A, 108B from the vasculature 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
