Abstract:
To provide a medical gas coupling and a nasal cannula that when a tube through which oxygen passes catches fire, are capable of immediately stopping supply of oxygen.SOLUTION: A medical gas coupling 40 comprises: a main body 50 that includes a hollow part 53 and a first connection end 56 and second connection end 57 and forms a gas conduction tube T through which oxygen gas passes; a valve body 60 disposed in the hollow part 53 so as to be movable; and first energizing means 71 and second energizing means 72 for retaining the valve body 60 at the center position of the hollow part 53. When the first connection end 56 is softened or melted by heat, the valve body 60 is moved by energizing force of the second energizing means 72 to close the gas conduction tube T's part between the first connection end 56 and the hollow part 53. When the second connection end 57 is softened or melted by heat, the valve body 60 is moved by energizing force of the first energizing means 71 to close the gas conduction tube T's part between the second connection end 57 and the hollow part 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
