To provide a medical image display device which inserts and display a high-definition image in a position where an important affected region is considered located at the time when a list of thinly displayed or rough images is displayed.
The medical image display device has an image generation means 7 to generate continuous image data from imaging data by a medical diagnostic imaging apparatus, a storage means 1 to store the image data, an input means 2, and a display means 4. Furthermore, an image acquisition means 5 acquires specified first image data from the storage means 1, a display control means 3 sequentially displays images from the first image data, an information incidental to images acquisition means 6 acquires information incidental to images including image generation conditions incidental to the preceding and following images when required adjacent preceding and following images are specified, the image acquisition means 5 acquires detailed second image data from the information incidental to the images and the display control means 3 sequentially displays the images from the detailed second image data.
