Abstract:
A medical image processing apparatus with an obtaining unit such as an OCT configured to obtain a tomographic image of an eye to be examined, a processing unit to detect, by using the obtained tomographic image as input data of a learned model, information on at least one layer in the obtained tomographic image, the learned model being obtained by using training data including (a) a tomographic image of an eye to be examined, and (b) information on at least one layer in the tomographic image, and a generating unit configured to generate an En Face image 703 corresponding to a depth range of at least a part of a three-dimensional tomographic image of an eye to be examined, the depth range determined using the detected information on the at least one layer. The depth range may be between the boundaries 715, 716. A method of using the apparatus is disclosed.
