Abstract:
PURPOSE: To secure an array space of an electronic control system in a handpiece while decreasing the outer diameter thereof. CONSTITUTION: A dental or surgical handpiece 1 operates based on laser and is provided with a light transmission body 3 for laser at the center of a joint between a supply tube 2 and the handpiece to guarantee axial rotatability between the supply tube 2 and the handpiece 1. The light transmission body 3 of the supply tube 2 is integrally extended into the handpiece 1 and, in this case, it is shifted to gradually increase in eccentricity toward the internal surface of a bent part 7 of the handpiece from a connecting part with the supply tube 2. The end part on the side of the handpiece of the light transmission body 3 is connected rotatably in the axial direction to a holder 8 of the handpiece 1.
