Title:
ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE FOR LIGHT DETECTING SYSTEM, AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3158148
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device, and to provide the nearly even irradiation intensity with the excellent energy efficiency over an area to be detected by a light detector system by aligning an irradiation collector such as a focus element array and a light condensing passage so as to receive the light reflected backward.
SOLUTION: Since a first and a second irradiation areas irradiate the light to a part of a document 20 aligned with a light collecting passage 34, intensity is maintained relatively even. A light beam 42 from an end of a first electroluminescent area irradiates the document to a position about 1/2 of a side distance of a central gap, which is provided in an upper electrode layer 30. Similarly, a light beam 44 irradiates the document to a position about 1/2 of the side distance of the central gap. Consequently, radiation from two electroluminescent areas are combined so as to irradiate the whole of the document 20, which is aligned with an optical device 14.
