PURPOSE: To obtain a medical network compatible with quick response and cost performance.

CONSTITUTION: The medical network consists of image generation devices 51, 52, 53, and 54 which generate image data, a storage device 55 which is stored with various data, display consoles 56 and 57 which display images and perform every kind of instruction, low-speed communication means 58 which transfers control signals and image data at a slow speed among the image generation devices, 51, 52, 53, &54, display consoles 56 and 57, and storage device 55, and high-speed communication means 59 and 60 which transfer the image data at a high speed between the display consoles 56 and 57 and storage device 55.
