Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high-purity magnesium material having a strength equal to an implant made of titanium or titanium alloy generally used, maintaining characteristics of biodegradability while using high-purity magnesium, and also to provide an implant using the same.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an implant uses high-purity magnesium with Zn within a range of 0.0010-0.0070 mass%, Si, Al, and Mn less than a detection limit and balance Mg, by a vacuum distillation method, increases strength by an extrusion method, etc., and manufactures an implant, so that an implant with higher strength and to be absorbed in an organism can be manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
