PURPOSE: To make an operator difficult to injure himself by his erroneous operation by forming one face of a blade body having a triangular section by the face obliquely cut in the longitudinal direction, forming ridge lines with sharp edges on both width directional ends of the blade body on this face, and dulling the ridge line corresponding to this face to eliminate the sharp point at the tip of the blade body.
CONSTITUTION: A medical suturing needle 1 is a curved suturing needle having a trianglar section, which has a blade body 2 at the tip and a connecting hole 3 for connecting a suture formed on the base end part. The ridge line 4A forming the inside of the curve of the suturing needle 1 has a sharp peak, and sharp edges are formed on ridge lines 5B, 5C on both sides of the face 4A. A ridge line 5A has a flat form with the crushed upper end, and the ridge line 5A reaches the tip P as it keeps the flat upper end. On the other hand, the face 4A has a continued surface approaching the ridge line 5A toward the tip P to form a spatula-shape tip P. The ridge lines 5B, 5C are continued to the tip P of the blade body 2, but the ridge lines 5B, 5C never cross each other in the spatula-shape tip P, generating no sharp point.
