Title:
MEDICAL TREATMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3428824
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to permanently sustain lubricity by forming at least part of a lubricity developing section by thermal molding with a medical treatment device which develops lubricity in at least part of its surface at the time of contact with the body fluid or physiological aq. condition.
SOLUTION: Hydrophilic thermoplastic resins and more particularly polyalkylene oxide, such as polyethylene oxide and polypropylene oxide, which develop the lubricity by taking water, etc. at the time of contact with the body fluid or physiological aq. condition are used as the material to be used in at least part of the section where the lubricity is developed. Polyalkylene oxide of which the atom ratio of C and O in the repeating unit is ≤3 is used as the preferable polyalkylene oxide. The material to be used in at least part of the section where the lubricity is developed may be the deriv. of the polyalkylene oxide or a compd. or polymer having this deriv.
