Abstract:
To obtain a medicinal composition useful for treatment of prostatic adenocarcinoma by containing a depressant compound for steroid 5-α-reductase and a medicinally permissible carrier.
As a compound of steroid 5-α-reductase inhibitor, 17-β3-(N- tbutylcarboxyamido)-5-α-androst-1-ene-4-aza-3-one and the like, It is orally administrated 1-6 times every day and the dosage of each active compound is selected from an extent of 0.1-1000mg/kg, preferably 1-100mg/kg. In addition, it is successively administrated by injection or infusion. This compound has therapeutic utility, because the size of human prostatic tumor is decreased.
