PURPOSE: To provide a medicinal pharmaceutical prepn. which contains a slow releasing compd. in addition to customarily used assistants and additives and is adjusted in the release of active substances.
CONSTITUTION: This medicinal pharmaceutical prepn. contains 0.001 to 20 pts.wt. slow releasing components in 1 pt.wt. (in terms of a base) fulpirtin or its physiologically permissible salt and is adjusted in the release of the active substances having a range of 5 to 300 mg per hour in the release rate of the fulpirtin measured by a method of USP-XXII using an apparatus 2 in a test aq. soln. of pH 1.0 and/or pH 6.8. The active substances of the pharmaceutical prepn. are a) enclosed by one or several kinds of the slow releasing components (e.g.: CMC, polyvinyl acetate) or b) bonded with a cation exchanger or c) incorporated with an osmotically active material (e.g.: magnesium sulfate, urea) and are enveloped by semipermeable films each bored with one hole or d) embedded into digestable fats, nondigestable fats, fat-like materials, polymers or swelling materials.
