Abstract:

To obtain a medicine composition sticking to stomach and duodenum that adheres to only to mucosas in the stomach and the duodenum, releases drugs over a long period of time and gives sufficient effect with a reduced dose of drugs.

This composition is obtained by coating a composition which contains a medicine active in the stomach and/or the duodenum tracts and a water-insoluble polymer with the polymer which sticks onto the surface of digestive tract mucosa under acidic conditions and separates from the digestive tract mucosa under neutral or alkaline conditions. In the composition which contains the medicine acting on the stomach and/or the duodenum and the water-insoluble polymer, the medicine is desirably coated with the water- insoluble polymer.
