Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition containing coagulation factor VIIa and other blood coagulation promoting components, useful for the treatment of blood coagulation diseases caused by the coagulation factor deficiency and/or coagulation factor inhibitor and applicable with little thrombogenetic risk. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition contains coagulation factor VIIa in an amount to get a factor VIIa activity of >=10 unit based on 1 unit of a blood coagulation promoting preparation [FEIVBA (R)] having a factor VIII inhibitor suppressing activity, further contains an FEIB active component and exhibits FEIB activity. The coagulation factors II, IX and X are preferably used as the above active component in an amount of 0.5-1.5 unit based on 1 unit of FEIBA. The composition is preferably further incorporated with protein C and/or protein S. The objective composition is produced preferably e.g. by contacting an anion exchange material with a plasma fraction containing a prothrombin complex factor composed of factor II, factor VII, factor IX and factor X, thereby activating the coagulation factor VII to form the factor VIIa.
