PURPOSE: An antithrombotic, blood platelet antiagglutinating agent, or hypotensive drug, comprising a 5-(3'-pyridyl)-2-mercaptoimidazole derivative as an active constituent.
CONSTITUTION: An antithrombotic, blood platelet antiagglutinating agent, or hypotensive drug, comprising a 5-(3'-pyridyl)-2-mercaptoimidazole derivative of the formula (R is H, lower alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or phenyl group which is substituted by halogen, or lower alkoxy group, or a lower alkyl group substituted by phenyl group) as an active constituent. The compound may be directly used as a drug, however, is usually used in a dosage form of tablets, granules, powder, syrups, ointments, embrocations, suppositories, or injections, in 100W10,000mg, particularly 200W5,000mg per day an adult for oral administration.
