PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine for external use having excellent applicability, lubricity and moistening property to the skin, by including a W/O-type emulsion in a microcapsule composed of a water-swollen gelatin film, thereby suppressing the deterioration and improving the stability of unstable water-soluble component and fat-soluble component.
CONSTITUTION: A W/O-type emulsion composed of an oil phase containing a fat-soluble component active to skin and liable to be oxidized to peroxide and a water phase containing a water-soluble component active to skin and liable to be hydrolyzed is included in a microcapsule composed of a gelatin membrane swollen with water. The above components exhibit excellent stability and are maintained without degradation over a long period. The obtained external medicine has excellent applicability to the skin and exhibits excellent effect in imparting the skin with lubricity and moistness. Since the above components are simultaneously micro-encapsulated by the present process, the medicine can be easily prepared, the migration of the water-soluble component to the base can be prevented, the microcapsules can be readily collapsed with finger or palm and there is absolutely no disagreeable feeling caused by the residual capsule membrane.
