To solve a problem of a conventional medicine management cart in an operating room, wherein much labor is required to store and manage medicines by kind or to manage histories of preparation and use.
The medicine management device 14 includes: storage parts 20 and 21 storing medicines with RFID tags; a surgery information recording part 47 recording surgery information; writing parts 43 and 44 for recording the surgery information in the RFID tags of the medicines stored in the storage parts 20 and 21; and an operating command acquiring part 29 acquiring an operating command of a surgery operator. When the operating command acquiring part 29 receives an surgery starting command, the writing parts 43 an 44 record surgery starting information recorded in the surgery information recording part 47 in the RFID tags of the medicines stored in the storage parts 20 and 21. When the operating command acquiring part 29 receives a surgery termination command, the writing parts 43 and 44 record surgery termination information recorded in the surgery information recording part 47 in the RFID tags of the medicines stored in the storage parts 20 and 21. In this way, the medicine management device 14 can write surgery information in the RFID tags of medicines.
