PURPOSE: To improve the transparency and heat resistance of a medicine packing container and to prevent elution of additives by forming the container of a random copolymer of a cyclic olefin expressed by the prescribed formula and ethylene, a ring opening (co)polymer of the similar cyclic olefin and its hydride.
CONSTITUTION: An injection cylinder or container is molded of a cyclic olefin resin selected from among a random copolymer of a cyclic olefin expressed by the formual I or II and ethylene, a ring opening (co)polymer of a similar cyclic olefin and the hydride of the ring opening (co)polymer. In the formulas, R1 to R18, Ra, Rb denote hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, prescribed hydrocarbons substd. with the halogen atoms. R19 to R37 denote hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, prescribed hydrocarbons substd. with the halogen atoms and alkoxy groups; (n) denotes 0 or 1; (m) denotes 0 or natural number; (x, y) denote 0, 1 or 2. R33 and R30, R33 and R37 are capable of forming monocyclic and polycyclic arom. rings by bonding each other when n=m=0.
