Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject medicine containing dihydrospirorenone as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This medicine contains dihydrospirorenone of the formula having a gestagen action, an antialdosterone action and a remarkable antiandrogen action as an active ingredient. The medicine advantageously contains an estrogen in addition to the compound of the formula. Ethynylestradiol or the other estrogen is preferably used, when an antifertility activity is preceded, and a natural estrogen is preferably used, when a surrogate action is preceded. The compound of the formula is administered at a daily dose of 0.5-50mg, preferably 1-10mg, and the estrogen is administered at a daily dose corresponding to 0.02-0.04mg of 17α-ethynylestradiol or 0.4-40mg of estradiol.
