PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine for thrombosis free from side effects, stably preservable for a long period of time by grinding body of earthworms from which dirt on the surface of body and digestive tube is removed and freeze-drying or spray drying under a specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: Earthworms are allowed to stand in pure water maintained at 6-26°C for 30-60 hours or in water adjusted to pH3-6.5 maintained at 6-26°C for 0.1-5 hours to remove dirt. Then the earthworms are ground, the prepared liquid ground material is degassed, freeze-dried or dried in vacuum at ≤1mmHg degree of vacuum while raising temperature by stages until temperature reaches 70-80°C finally to give dried powder. By the drying under the condition, inhibitors and hemolytic action substances much contained in skin and stratum longitudinal tunicae muscularis coli can be deactivated without causing decomposition and vaporization of active substances, various germs are sterilized and the powder can be preserved for a long period of time.
