Abstract:

To provide excellent electrostatic attracting force and to convey paper sheet OHP sheet by sufficiently attracting them by setting surface roughness in the outermost peripheral surface of a medium conveying belt to a specific value or less.

This medium conveying belt 10 is constituted by forming a conductive electrode pattern 14 on an external peripheral surface of a tubular object 12 molded of a polymeric material and forming an electrode protecting layer 16 on the electrode pattern 14. In this case, surface roughness Ra in an external peripheral surface of the electrode protecting layer 16 is 0.5 μm or less, preferably 0.2 μm or less, and the layer consists of a simple resin or compound resin formed by mixing a resin additive agent. The polymeric material forming the tubular object 12 is, for instance, engineering plastic, actually, polyamide 6, polyamide 66, polyamide 46, etc., are provided. The electrode protecting layer 16 is not particularly limited, and resin single substance or compound resin are used. As the resin used, thermoplastic resin, non- thermoplastic resin, rubber, and thermoplastic elastomer are used.
