The dispenser has a medium passage extending from a medium storage container to a dispensing opening. A feeder for feeding the medium is positioned in the medium passage. A medium (particularly fluid containing at least one medicine) is stored in the storage container. The dispensing of the medium is achieved by an operation means. An electronic detection device for detecting an amount indicative of the amount of the medium dispensed is provided on the dispenser.
