Abstract:
To provide a technique that adjusts an amount of liquid to be applied to a binding position, in accordance with largeness of a load at the time of binding a sheet bundle, in binding processing.SOLUTION: A medium processing device comprises: pressure-bonding means that binds a bundle of media formed of a plurality of bound sheet-like media by pressurizing and deforming a portion of the bundle; liquid applying means that applies liquid to positions of the media to which binding processing is performed by the pressure-bonding means; a driving source that operates the pressure-bonding means; and a binding load sensing part that senses a load during the binding processing by the pressure-bonding means. The liquid applying means adjusts an amount of liquid to be applied in applying liquid, in accordance with largeness of a load, during the binding processing, sensed by the binding load sensing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
