Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of properly controlling a liquid holding amount of a member which performs liquid application to media for which crimp binding is executed.SOLUTION: A medium processing unit comprises: a transport part for transporting media; liquid application means for applying liquid to a part of at least one medium transported by the transport part; and crimp means for deforming and compressing a medium bundle including, at least one medium to which the liquid is applied by the liquid application means, for binding the medium bundle. The liquid application means includes: a liquid application member for applying the liquid to the position which is bound by the crimp means; and a liquid holding amount detecting part for detecting a liquid holding amount of the liquid application member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
