Abstract:
To provide a medium supply device which can supply a medium to be cut stably with the higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A medium supply device is mounted or can be mounted on an image formation device including an image formation unit to supply a medium to the image formation unit, includes: a medium supply part which delivers the medium; a medium cutting part having a rotary blade, a rotary position sensor detecting the rotation position of the rotary blade, a driving part generating the driving force driving the rotary blade, and a clutch forming a transmission path of the driving force from the driving part to the rotary blade and blocking the transmission path, and cutting the medium; and a control part controlling the operation of the medium supply part and the operation of the medium cutting part. The control part adjusts the timing of the rotation operation of the rotary blade on the basis of the speed of delivering the medium from the medium supply part, the rotation position of the rotary blade and the time required for formation of the transmission path in the clutch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
