Abstract:
To efficiently test a reproduction only medium that is designed for reproduction in a reproducing device and has a copy protection function such as a CSS.
A comparison checker 25 is comformity to the CSS and can make mutual authentification with a disk reader 24 which is in compliance with the CSS and reads the scramble data from a DVD 305. And the comparison checker 25 reads the scramble data from the DVD 305 and compare them with the scramble data obtained from a test disk 303 through a disk reader 22. The test disk 303 has the scramble data recorded on the original of the DVD 303.
