Abstract:
To provide a new magnetic recording system capable of recording data precisely.
The magnetic recording system comprises: a medium with a pattern consisting of a land area and a trough area; a writing element for writing data into this medium with the pattern; and a reading element for reading the data from this medium with the pattern and reading servo information from a trough. The land area stores the data, and the trough area prevents storing of the data. The width of the reading element is larger than that of the writing element.
