Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve measuring accuracy of a substrate and enzyme activity concerned in (hypo)xanthine or a reaction system forming it, by adding uric acid to a composition containing xanthine dehydrogenase and efficiently stabilizing xanthine dehydrogenase.
CONSTITUTION: A composition containing at least xanthine dehydrogenase is mixed with uric acid (concentration, preferably 0.1-10mM) and preferably ≥0.2-100mM of a compound having chelating ability such as an organic compound containing one or more of a carboxyl group, a sulfonic group or a sulfite group to stabilize xanthine dehydrogenase.
