Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device through which Meissner effect can be confirmed in safety.
SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a low-temperature cooling means 7, a superconductor which is cooled by this low-temperature cooling means 7, and a vacuum chamber 7 which covers the superconductor 3 to insulate it from the head of outside air. The low-temperature cooling means is not exposed to the outside at all, so extremely high safety is obtained. The vacuum chamber is held in a nearly vacuum state and consists of a vacuum layer as a principal heat insulating element and a material which is transparent and hard and easily transmit lines of magnetic forces may be used for a shield wall for the outside air. The superconductor 2 can visually be confirmed from outside, so this is suitably used for experimentation of educational fields and demonstrations at various places.
