Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject compsn. which is excellent in stability in a cylinder of an injection molding machine during molding and gives a molded article free from thin spot and unevenness in color and excellent in appearance as well as in the resistance to crack and insert.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compsn. which contains 100 pts.wt. melamine- formaldehyde resin, 20-60 pts.wt. pulp, and 0.1-4 pts.wt. higher fatty acid amide is prepd. pref. by mixing a powder of a predried popcornlike resin prepd. by the so-called wet process, a powdered melamine resin, a powdered pulp, the amide, etc., thermally kneading the mixture, and requlverizing the resulting premolding product.
