To provide a melting control method for an electric resistance type ash melting method and its device, actualizing automatic control of the electric resistance type ash melting furnace without requiring manual operation of an operator at the beginning of starting it.
The melting control method is provided for the electric resistance type ash melting furnace which melts ashes with the energization of an electrode loaded into the furnace. It comprises a step of setting the elevation range of the electrode on a program basis, a step of measuring power supplied to the electrode, and a step of controlling the power to be supplied to the electrode with the elevation control of the electrode and the regulation of applied voltage on the electrode depending on a deviation between a target value for the power to be supplied to the electrode and an actually measured value for the power measured. In power control, the elevation control of the electrode in the elevation range of the electrode has priority over the regulation of the applied voltage on the electrode.
