Abstract:
To efficiently perform heating by electric heaters.SOLUTION: A melting furnace 100 for a non-ferrous metal comprises a chamber 101 heating a molten metal S by electric heaters 20, 30, and melts a non-ferrous metal charged to the molten metal S. The electric heaters 20, 30 comprise: heating part materials 21, 31 to form into at least a pair of electrodes immersed into the molten metal S in the chamber 101 and confronted at a prescribed interval L in a horizontal direction; and conductive part materials 22, 32 joined to a side connecting a power source 200 in the heating part materials 21, 31 and having a resistance value lower than the heating part materials 21, 31. The heating part materials 21, 31 lie in an exposed state without being inserted into a bottomed annular pipe, and flow electric current into a space between the pair of electrodes utilizing the molten metal S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
