At this time, a hole SH is arranged on the roof of the holding furnace 10 and gaseous nitrogen is supplied from a gaseous nitrogen supplying device NS at the outer part through the hole SH to cover the surface of the molten aluminum An in the holding chamber 10. By this method, the oxidation of the molten aluminum An is restrained to obtain the good quality molten aluminum An.
