Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an aluminum oxide produced upon melting in a melting holding furnace used for manufacturing an aluminum cast is supplied as it is from the melting holding furnace to a casting machine of the molten-metal supply destination.SOLUTION: A melting holding furnace is provided which reduces an oxide such as an aluminum oxide produced upon melting by indirect heating, drips the molten metal of a reduced oxide gently down into the melting holding furnace, and is capable of taking out a clear molten metal of the oxide from a drawing port at the center of the furnace lid by providing a sludge-reserving tray at the lowermost part of a downward gradient with a natural flow of the molten metal at a bank part of V-shaped arrangement having a suitable gradient and a suitable height for the furnace bottom which receives dripping by using no filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
