To provide a member for conveyance reduced in weight, easily handled, having excellent heat resistant property, out gas resistant property, and conductivity while holding bending rigidity and vibration damping characteristics roughly equal to those of a CFRP, and sufficiently suitable for such an application that a substrate is carried under high temperature environment.
In this member for conveyance made of a carbon fiber reinforced metal composite material formed of carbon fibers, a carbonaceous matrix, and metal components dispersed in the carbonacious matrix, the carbon fibers comprise a plurality of stacked unidirectional carbon fiber sheets obtained by arranging carbon fiber bundles in one direction and fusing them with a heat fusible resin-containing fibers so that the carbon fiber bundles are not separated from each other and orienting in any direction.
